Sir Winston
Sir Winston arrived at the RASTA Sanctuary at approximately 8 weeks of age.
He's yet another unfortunate victim of the "Micro-Pig" scam industry. He arrived bearing all the typical signs and with the typical story that we see from this industry - he was infested with mange, and citing a need to move the person who purchased him claimed they could no longer care for him. Fortunately for this incredible little guy, caring humans noticed an add online for him and worked alongside PEACE to find him a forever home.
We see this over an over again in rescue, and ultimately in order to end the cruelty and breeding and need for rehoming, people need to be educated.
In response, we've written a blog about Mico-Pigs and the industry perpetuating the lie of their existence and would encourage anyone interested in advocating for them to have a read and share it with anyone you know who is considering buying a pet pig.
