Terri is a turkey, and was quite the surprise.  We work hard to find all the eggs the birds here at the sanctuary lay, as breeding animals is something we want to avoid, but Gerry (Terri's mother) is a hermaphroditic Turkey who was always believed to be male in that they wouldn't lay eggs or have chicks.  However, Gerry proved that belief wrong by hiding a nest, laying eggs, and bringing both Terri and Pheonix into the world.
