Priya and her sister Paisley came from the Comox SPCA after they took in a group of six piglets from unacceptable conditions and asked if RASTA could provide a home for any of them.
Unfortunately we could only take two, so asked that a pair be chosen, and Priya and Paisley are the lucky two that came. They're know as Ossabaw pigs, and should grow to be between 150 and 200lbs assuming there isn't any other kind of breed mixed in (sometimes it's impossibke to be sure)
The pair were introduced to Piggy Sue, who looks like she could be of the same breed at least partially, and who is our next youngest pig. It took a bit of time, but Sue has now fully accepted the two and they've become a trio that eats, sleeps, and spends their days exploring together.
