Jubilee came to RASTA with Rose-Ann, both of them having been rescued from a battery cage egg farm.

Consumers aren't told this, but most larger egg farms have multiple barns, and produce different eggs.  It's quite common for farms to have free-range, free-run, and battery cage hens all on the same grounds. As such, when people buy eggs of any kind, they're funding all forms - even the cruellest - of farming eggs.

When Jubilee and Rose-Ann arrived, they had been in a barn for their entire lives without natural light, fresh air, or more than a foot of space each to move.  They had never stretched their wings or been able to express their natural tendencies in any way.
