Houdini-min

Houdini mysteriously appeared one day at the RASTA Sanctuary.  We found him as a six week old kitten in a marshy area where the pigs normally wallow, very close to the road that ran in front of our old Alberta property.  As it was raining very heavily that day and Houdini was so tiny, we couldn’t actually see him, but rather just heard the sounds of his faint cries.  Eventually, following those cries is what led us to a tiny kitten, soaked to the bone and struggling to free himself from the mud.  It was obvious that Houdini had been thrown from a vehicle, likely while it was moving to have landed right smack dab in the middle of the slough.  Despite his rough start at life, Houdini has fully recovered and now thoroughly enjoys a wonderfully relaxing and leisurely lifestyle at the RASTA Sanctuary.

In 2021, after RASTA's founder Lucie Cerny was unable to continue due to health issues, Houdini, along with the other sanctaury resdients, was transferred into the care of A Home for Hooves Farm Sanctuary.
