Gabriella came to RASTA along with her mate Gustav after the two were siezed by the SPCA in a cruelty investigation. They're what's commonly referred to as Pilgrim Geese.

Both of them showed signs of neglect, including being underweight and an eye injury to Gabriella's left eye.

Geese mate for life, and these two are inseperable.  They settled in at the sanctuary almost immediately and have become a very noticable presence (physically and vocally) amongst the other birds.  They'll enjoy their lives here together without having to worry about ever being neglected again.
