Eddie was surrendered to the Sanctuary in March of 2018 as an act of compassion by the same lady that previously surrendered Ella.  He was surrendered so that he could be a companion for Ella shortly after our old boy Theodore, our legendary steer of nearly 12 years passed away.   As a male calf, Eddie is considered to be a waste product by the dairy industry and would otherwise have been slaughtered if RASTA hadn't taken him.
