Chester
Chester and his brother Elliot were rescued from slaughter just in the nick of time. Both boys lived next door to a lady who had fallen in love with them as she watched them grow and couldn't bear the thought of them being slaughtered. Her neighbour, who had purchased them in the springtime as young lambs intended to sell them for slaughter in the fall so she could attain farm status on her acreage and thereby get a break on her property taxes.
However, when the day came and Chester and Elliot were marked for death by the local butcher who came and spray painted numbers on their backs, the reality that the two sweet boys would soon be killed set in and the lady's neighbour simply couldn't allow that to happen. Instead, she convinced her neighbour to spare the lambs' lives and they were surrendered to the RASTA Sanctuary instead.
In addition to that, the lady's neighbour decided against getting any future lambs as a means of maintaining her farm status and opted to grow fruit and vegetables instead.
