Spartacus is one of the animals that we had to work the hardest to get to the Sanctuary.  We were notified of a tiny piglet that got loose at a local auction yard and was running wild amongst dozens of cows in a stockyard.  The staff at the auction informed us that they intended to shoot the piglet as they didn’t want a “crazy wild pig running around”.  With this threat and the fact that it was the middle of winter, we knew that the little baby didn’t have much time and so we rounded up a half dozen volunteers, some nets and headed out.  To make a very long story short, it took us two days to catch little Sparta but in the end we succeeded and were able to bring him home safely.
