Ringo was born at the RASTA Sanctuary on May 30th 2017 along with his two sisters Sarah and Olivia, and two brothers Oscar and Midge. Ringo's mother Emma came to us as a pregnant foster pig from the Duncan SPCA, along with Emma's sister Sophie. Both mothers were only 6 months old when they were already pregnant and in need of rescue from a terrible hoarding situation.
Recognizing and honouring the close family bond between the two mothers and all their piglets, the RASTA Sanctuary opted to commit to the lifelong care of Sophie, Emma and all their babies rather than having them return to the SPCA for individual adoptions. We sucessfully raised the funds necessary to have all 10 piglets and their mothers spayed and neutered and are grateful to have had the opportunity to keep their family together.
